The 2021-2022 season is the first programmed with our new team. We will feature Mozambican, Tap Dance, Hip Hop, and Experimental works by internationally-renowned artists from Calgary, Winnipeg, Brampton, Toronto, and Montréal. The planned dates of this season’s events remain flexible to support safe public initiatives, so please continue to check back in with us here and on our social channels for programming updates. Ticket and free online access information will become available for each event as the season progresses. We cannot wait to share these touching moments of examination, education, and collective joy with you! Season overview details are below the video.

NAC #DanceForth

Two World Premier Recorded Performances – one by Jaz Fairy J with sound design by Johnny Spence and backdrop cinematography by Francesca Chudnoff, and another by Travis Knights with special guests Juno Award-Winning vocalist Divine Brown and Michael Shand, Amhed Mitchel, and Ross Macintyre. dance Immersion curated these works and is co-presenting them in partnership with the National Arts Centre, with the support of Harbourfront Centre. #DanceForth is a National Arts Centre (NAC) Dance series designed to support Canadian dance artists. These innovative, moving new works are not to be missed!

Three community discussion events on the topic of dance education, the dancing body, and African Diasporic legacy

Versus Dance Battle

An online dance battle where participants share recorded sections of their favourite past dance works in a joyful community exchange
