Since February 2021, Jillian Greyson has been profiling artists from, or who contribute meaningfully to, African Diasporic cultures in Canada and abroad each month in the dance Immersion Newsletter. In addition to the written artist profiles, below we have included a 2023-2024 video tribute on dance Immersion’s Founder, Vivine Scarlett, that we commissioned Ella Cooper to create in honour of our 30th Anniversary Gala celebration. 

Below the tribute to Vivine, we have also included two documentaries by filmmaker Christian Boakye-Agyeman created for us in January 2023, sponsored by Canada’s National Ballet School. His interview recordings document Zab Maboungou and John Alleyne, who delivered keynote addresses for Connectively Moving Our Dance 2023. Enjoy the videos below.
